Current food systems are responsible for around 30% of global greenhouse gas emissions, while the EU has set a target to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030. Addressing these challenges requires collaboration across sectors, disciplines and levels of governance.
To support this effort, we are launching “From Knowledge to Action: Food System Resilience and Sustainability in Practice” — a co-creation lab designed to foster dialogue, strengthen collaboration and identify practical pathways for food system transformation.
Organised together with FOODMISSION and SkillResilience4EU, this interactive event will bring together researchers, municipalities, food sector actors, producers, SMEs, civil society and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and turn knowledge into action.
Using Thessaloniki as a case example, participants will engage in:
- Short presentations of three ongoing Horizon Europe projects related to food system resilience and sustainability
- A co-creation lab on food systems and sustainability
- Interactive group work on food waste, citizen engagement, skills, governance and local value chains
- Joint reflection and networking
The event combines knowledge sharing with participatory approaches to connect policy, research and practice.
Register here until 29 May!
